Symposium in Podgorica: Strengthening Digital Skills Through Regional Cooperation
As part of the Erasmus+ project VET Tech Conn, a symposium dedicated to digital competencies in secondary vocational education was held in Podgorica from June 23 to 25. The symposium presented the results of the Skills Gap Analysis for Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro.
The event gathered 14 partners from Croatia, Slovenia, Montenegro, and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Research results show that teachers in both countries already use digital tools, but additional training is needed to further expand their knowledge. Students also express strong interest in working with modern digital tools and generally prefer this type of learning over traditional approaches.

During the symposium, two panel discussions were held:
🔹 Panel 1: Empowering Teachers – The Role of Educators in Enhancing Digital Competencies
The discussion focused on essential digital competencies for modern education, challenges teachers face, and the type of institutional support they expect.
🔹 Panel 2: Institutional Perspectives – The Role of Institutions and Agencies in Shaping Digital Skills
This panel offered insight into how institutions can support schools in overcoming obstacles and contribute to the digital transformation of education.
